Empowering Agriculture in Busoga: Irrigation for Cassava Sustainability

In the heart of the Busoga region, we are proud to support a transformative water irrigation project tailored for cassava farming. This initiative is designed to enhance food security, boost crop yields, and improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers across the region.

Cassava, a staple crop in Uganda, is highly resilient yet often faces challenges due to inconsistent rainfall. With the installation of modern solar-powered irrigation systems, farmers can now ensure timely and adequate watering throughout the year—minimizing drought stress and improving root quality and yield.

Our intervention goes beyond technology. We work closely with local communities to provide training, technical support, and follow-up services. By investing in sustainable irrigation, we are helping farmers move from subsistence to commercial agriculture—one field at a time.

This project is not just about water—it’s about growth, resilience, and a brighter future for Busoga’s farmers.
